Taken at pick No.13 in the 2019 NBA Draft, Tyler Herro is making a name for himself.
The 20-year-old Miami Heat rookie, who has been a standout all year but particularly in the playoffs, exploding in Game 4.
Scoring a career-high 37 points to lead Miami to a 112-109 win over Boston Celtics to take a 3-1 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Herro ended the game with six rebounds and three assists to add his scoring spree while coming off the bench.
“I feel good about it,” A typically cool Herro said post-game. “There's a lot of work to be done.
“We're up 3-1; a big win for us tonight. We felt like we could have won Game 3, and came out with more energy tonight. Credit to my teammates and coaches, we put a lot of time and effort into preparing for Game 4 and we got ready, and we got the job done.”
Teammate Jimmy Butler, said postgame: “I mean, that's my guy (Herro). I think the world knows that. I think so highly of him.
“He's always willing to give the credit somebody else, but he's done this, he's worked at it, he's studied the film, he's the one that's in the gym, he's the one that's communicating like a vet[eran] to the vets.”
