Test spinner Nathan Lyon has admitted that he is suprised that is not getting picked for Australia's ODI squad.
However, Lyon said he is determined to earn a recall to the one-day side by impressing national selectors in the upcoming Matador one-day Cup.
Lyon has produced some impressive performances in the Test team of late, however, he has hardly been given a look in in the shorter format, playing just eight ODIs.
"I'm wondering why I don't get picked, too," Lyon told Fairfax.
"I definitely haven't given up and I haven't retired from one-day cricket, that's for sure.
"I want to play all three formats of cricket for Australia, that's my goal, so I have to keep putting my hand up for selection and doing what I can to achieve that.
"It's out of my hands, it's up to the selectors and I know all I can do is control my performance and my work ethic."
