Former Williams and Ferrari driver, Felipe Massa, has sent his heartfelt wishes to seven time Formula One world champion, Michael Schumacher, who celebrated his 48th birthday yesterday.
Michael was instrumental in Felipe's Ferrari career and the Brazilian driver will always be indebted to him for everything he did to help move his racing career in the right direction.
Sadly Schumacher won't see any of the birthday messages being left for him from fans and friends across the globe as he remains in a semi vegetative state after his skiing accident three years ago.
โToday (Jan 3) is my great friend and comrade Michael's birthday,โ Felipe said on Facebook. โWithout him I would not have my chance to race for Ferrari in 2006, I'm very grateful for everything he did for me. We are cheering for you! Congratulations my brother!โ
While there is still no official confirmation, strong reports indicate that a deal has been done with Williams that will see Felipe return to the team to race this season, despite officially retiring at the end of the 2016 championship season.
