France defeat Belgium to secure 10th Davis Cup crown

France have ended a 16-year drought, defeating Belgium 3-2 to claim their 10th Davis Cup crown.

With the tie level at 2-2, Frenchman Lucus Pouille sealed the win for the hosts, with a comprehensive 6-3, 6-1, 6-0 win over Steve Darcis.

Earlier in the day, David Goffin kept Belgium's hopes alive with a straight sets win over Jo-Wilfred Tsonga, after France took a 2-1 lead into the final day with victory in the doubles on Saturday.

France's last title came in 2001 and they lost in the final in 2002, 2010 and 2014.
