Melbourne City are reportedly on the verge of securing a deal for Argentina playmaker, Fernando Brandan.

Outside 90 has reported that Brandan was spotted at City's pre-season friendly against Port Melbourne earlier this week.

City have agreed signed Luke Brattan and Neil Kilkenny this off-season, as the club looks to build on its most promising campaign in the A-League last season.

Brandan, 26, has spent his professional career in Argentina, enjoying stints at Racing de Olavarria, Rivadavia and most recently, Atletico Temperley, where he made 87 appearances and netted 15 goals.

However, he has struggled to secure regular first team football over the past season, prompting a move away from the club.
