Since the dawn of the NBA's conference system, the now-15 teams in the West have competed for the right to be dubbed the Western Conference Champions each season.
However, at present, less than two-thirds of these teams have actually won the prize.
Ahead of the 2024 NBA Finals, 9 teams have celebrated a Western Conference Championship, with four franchises having achieved the feat on multiple occasions.
Still, there is one team that leads the pack with a cool dozen Conference Championships to their name: the Los Angeles Lakers.
