NBL star Xavier Cooks led the way in the deciding game, as he put up a game-high 30 points, shooting at a 76 per cent rate while also adding nine rebounds, which saw him claim Player of the Game honours.
Jaylin Galloway also added 23 points, while William Hickey added 15 points, seven rebounds and five assists.
Boomers were down early by 15 points mid-way through the second quarter, but the relentless fight back saw them only down four at halftime.
The second half was closer and more competitive, with the outcome going down to the wire. The last possession saw China have an open three-point shot to win the game on the buzzer, but it fell just short.
Two-time NBL champion Jaylin Galloway led the way for the Boomers throughout the tournament, securing MVP honours in the process, averaging 15.7 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.

Since competing in the Asia Cup for the first time in 2017, the Boomers have won three straight titles and have yet to lose a single game, achieving an unbelievable 18-0 record.
With NBA talent coming back into the squad for the Olympics, optimism is high on what the Boomers can achieve in Los Angeles in 2028.
