The news was delivered earlier today that this year's running of the Malaysian grand Prix, will be the last.

After some very exciting races over the past 18 Formula One seasons, a joint decision was made by the new owners of F1 and the Circuit officials.

It is not clear as to why this decision was taken, however it has been noted that audiences have been declining over the past few years.

This would mean that the event would become too expensive for the country to continue with.

Fans and teams alike will be saddened to lose the event, especially after all the exciting racing that has taken place over the years, especially when rain is thrown into the mix, which is a regular occurrence.

Organizers will now focus on making this Octobers event, the 19th and last, the best one ever.
