The Oklahoma City Thunder have just extended Most Valuable Player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, All-NBA star Jalen Williams and young star Chet Holmgren to big long-term contracts.
In the wake of their 2025 NBA Championship, the Thunder just completed their number one priority for the off-season.
At only 27, Shai is on path to become one of the best players the game has ever seen, as he was just the head of the snake for one of the most dominant teams the NBA has seen. The Thunder made it their number one focus to sign Shai to a four-year supermax contract extension worth $285 million, according to ESPN, Shams Charania.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who just had one of the greatest seasons by a guard of all time, produced a career-high 32.7 points and 6.4 assists per game.
We are witnessing Gilgeous-Alexander becoming the face of the league right in front of our eyes.

Only a week later, we saw the next young Thunder star, Chet Holmgren, sign a five-year rookie maximum contract extension worth up to $250 Million, according to ESPN, Shams Charania.
In just his 32 games this season, Holmgren proved himself as one of the best defenders in the NBA. Chet was just the anchor of one of the most historic defences we have seen in the history of basketball.
The 23-year-old has already had his fair share of devastating injuries in his first three seasons, but Holmgren's untapped potential is the reason the Thunder made it a priority to lock him down for the future.

Jalen Williams was the last announced extension of the young big three, as he also signed a five-year rookie maximum contract extension worth up to $287 Million, according to ESPN, Shams Charania.
Williams had an outstanding season, as he was widely known as one of the best two-way players across the league. He earned himself a spot in the All-Star, All-NBA and All-Defensive teams.
The 23 year-old became the fifth youngest player to reach 40 points in an NBA Finals game. Williams has become the perfect 'Robin' to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
