Arsenal have reportedly set aside £45.6m to try to lure French striker Karim Benzema from Real Madrid.

Benzema is contracted at Madrid until 2019, however, he is considered the highest priority at the Emirates, with coach Arsene Wegner in need of an out and out centre forward.

Wegner has denied claims that he is pursuing the Frenchman, however, according to AS, Arsenal will leave no stone unturned in its bid for the 27-year-old.
