Italian newspaper Tuttosport has reported that Arsenal are preparing an £86 million swoop for German stars Mario Gotze and Julian Draxler.

Gotze, the scorer of the winning goal in the 2014 World Cup Final is currently plying his trade at Bayern Munich under Pep Guadiola.

Draxler is a young up and coming midfielder currently playing for Schalke also in the German Bundeliga.

Gotze is believed to be unhappy at Bayern after struggling for game time under Guardiola.

“The last two years were definitely not very simple, we'll see what happens. It will work out if Guardiola talks to me more often. I'm going to let everything come to me. Anything beyond that, we'll see,” Gotze said last week.

They would be two of the transfers of the summer if they eventuate, however, given Arsenal's lack of activity this transfer window, it is hard to see either deal happening.
