Australia has regained the Chappell-Hadlee trophy with a clinical 116-run win over New Zealand in the second ODI in Canberra.
The Blackcaps won the toss and sent the Aussies into bat, a move they lived to regret, as the hosts piled on a whopping 5-378.
Australia's second biggest ever total on home soil was set up by a sublime 119 from 114 balls from opener David Warner.
Warner blasted his sixth ODI century of the year, and his 10th overall, with only Ricky Ponting, Adam Gilchrist and Mark Waugh having more one-day international tons to their name for Australia.
Aaron Finch was the first to go in the Australian innings, as his poor form continued, clean bowled for 19 by Mitchell Santner.
Warner and captain Steve Smith (72) then shared in a 145-run partnership, as they batted Australian into a commanding position.
Travis Head was moved up the order following Warner's dismissal and he made the most his opportunity, hitting 57 from 32 balls.
Mitch Marsh then finally enjoyed some time in the middle, hitting 70 not out from just 40 deliveries.
In response, New Zealand was bowled all out for 262, 116 runs short of Australia's total.
Martin Guptill got the Kiwis off to the perfect start, blasting 45 runs from just 33 balls, before he was caught behind by a peach of a delivery by Pat Cummins. After his dismissal it was hard to see the tourists being able to chase down the mammoth total and they were never really in the game.
Skipper Kane Williamson and Jimmy Neesham proved the most resistance, scoring 81 and 74 respectively, however, they struggled to find partners able to stick around at the crease for the long haul.
Pat Cummins was the pick of the bowlers for Australia, finishing with 4-41, while James Faulkner, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood all claimed two scalps.
