Australia has taken a 1-0 series lead after the first Ashes Test, with a convincing 10-wicket win over England at the Gabba.
Set a target of 170 to win after England were dismissed for just 195 late on day four, Australia resumed on day five on 0-114, with Cameron Bancroft 51 not out and David unbeaten on 60.
The hosts reached the target just prior to lunch on the final day's play, with Test debutant Bancroft hitting the winning runs. He finished on 82 not out, while Warner was unbeaten on 87.
The run chase is the highest successful chase in a Test match at the Gabba since 1982.
Aussie skipper Steve Smith was named man of the match for his superb 141 not out in the first innings, which set up the win.
The second Test, which will be the first ever day-night Ashes Test, begins on Saturday at Adelaide Oval.
