New Melbourne Victory recruit Oliver Bozanic says he jumped at the chance to join the A-League champions when he learned they were interested in signing him.

"Melbourne Victory is a club that is immensely respected on and off the pitch so when the opportunity came to join the club, I accepted it without hesitation," he said in a statement.

"I'd like to thank (head coach) Kevin (Muscat) and the Melbourne Victory Football Club for the opportunity and I look forward to repaying their faith in me in front of the incredible Victory fans."

The 26-year-old has signed a three year deal with the Victory.
