Brisbane Roar star Thomas Broich is in doubt for his side's clash with Melbourne City on Friday night.
Broich suffered a knock to his knee in Sunday's 1-0 win over Perth Glory, with a five day break meaning he is racing the clock to be fit in time for Friday's match.
Defender Daniel Bowles is also in doubt after suffering a cork to his leg in the second half.
"It's a quick turnaround, so you don't know how they're going to pull up," Brisbane manager John Aloisi said.
"I know Bowlesy got a pretty bad corky at the time, but he was able to run it off and continue on.
"I haven't really seen Thomas. He got studded near his medial (ligament).
"Hopefully it's just a slight knock and he should be alright as well."
