Australian excitement machine Chris Lynn has not been included in Queensland's list of contract players for the upcoming season.
The 27-year-old has been battling shoulder troubles and underwent surgery in late July, however, his omission still comes as a shock in cricketing circles.
Despite not getting a contract, Lynn, who has endeared himself to fans of the game through his big hitting, would still be considered for selection like any other player once he returns to full fitness.
Lynn smashed his way onto the international scene last summer, hitting 26 sixes in the Big Bash League before making his one-day international debut for Australia in January.
Usman Khawaja was named as captain of the Bulls for the upcoming summer, replacing the retired Chris Hartley.
