The Mirror has reported that former Liverpool boss Brendon Rodgers could be signed as a caretaker coach by Chelsea, should Jose Mourinho be sacked.
Rodgers has been out of a job since being sacked by the Reds last month after a string of poor performances.
However, in what many would see as a shock decision, Chelsea are reportedly considering appointing the Northern Irishman as an interim coach for the remainder of the season if Chelsea's poor results continue.
Rodgers is no stranger to Chelsea, as he managed Chelsea's youth team almost a decade ago and is highly regarded at the club.
