Australian captain Pat Cummins has confirmed that he and Nathan Lyon will return to the team for this week's third Ashes Test in Adelaide. Michael Neser and Brendan Doggett have made way for the returning duo.
Cummins is a huge inclusion for the hosts after fielding a relatively inexperienced bowling attack in Brisbane. The relentless speedster has missed the opening two Tests of the series after he was sidelined by a back injury.
Fellow New South Welshman Lyon was a shock omission at the Gabba after Australia opted to play four quicks. The move paid off for the Australian selectors, but they have rushed the 140-test veteran straight back in, with the Adelaide surface potentially offering some spin and bounce as the test progresses.
Neser is an unlucky omission after tearing through England with 5-42 in the second innings in Brisbane. The English batsmen had no answer, with his relentless line and length pinning them on the crease with gloveman Alex Carey up to the stumps.
Fellow paceman Doggett has been serviceable in his first two Test matches, claiming seven scalps at 30 apiece.
England have confirmed one change to their XI, with fast bowler Gus Atkinson making way for Josh Tongue.
The third Test begins in Adelaide on Wednesday, with Australia looking to wrap up the series with an unassailable 3-0 lead.
