Former Chelsea striker Demba Ba is set to join Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua on a three-year deal.

The Senegal international has reportedly joined Shenhua for a Chinese Super League record fee worth 16 million euros.

The club did not confirm the figure that was reported by Chinese news agency Xinhua, but said that it is a “possible record transfer fee."

Ba scored 27 goals in 44 appearances for Turkish first division side Besiktas last season, after spells at Chelsea, Newcastle United and West Ham United in the English Premier League.
