James Duckworth and Marink Matosevic will meet in the semi finals of the Australian Open wildcard play off, after both won their quarter final matches on Wednesday.
No.1 seed James Duckworth comfortably accounted for Marc Polmans in straight sets (6-4, 6-4, 6-3) to advance to the semi final and set up a clash with former world No. 39 Matosevic.
Matosevic put in a good performance to beat third see Luke Saville 6-3, 6-2, 6-2, after surviving a five set thriller in the opening round.
The winner of the event will receive a wildcard into the main draw at the Australian Open, starting on January 18 at Melbourne Park.
