Since 1919, 13 thoroughbred horses have taken out the feted American Triple Crown, winning the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes and Belmont stakes in the same year.

Stretching back over a century, here are the 13 groups of horses, trainers and jockeys to have saluted on the dirt tracks of Churchill Downs, Pimlico and Belmont Park.
