A total of ten Australians have featured in a men's French Open final, with legends Rod Laver, Roy Emerson and Ken Rosewall at the head of the list.

Of the ten players, nine have taken out the championship, with Frank Sedgman in 1952 the only Australian to feature in a French Open or Championship final without taking home the trophy at any point in their career.

Laver, Emerson and Rosewall all won two finals out of three finals, and in another surprising twist, all three lost their only final to another of the trio. Emerson lost to Laver in 1962, while Laver and Rosewall split victories in 1968 and 1969, playing against each other in back-to-back finals.

Sadly for Australian tennis fans, no Australian has made the French Open final since 1969, with recent years dominated by Rafael Nadal, who has won a staggering 14 finals since his breakthrough in 2005.
