FFA Cup minnows Heidelberg United have pulled off a massive coup ahead of the FFA Cup quarter final, signing former Greek international, Kostas Katsouranis for their clash with Melbourne City.
Katsouranis, now 36, has made 116 appearances for his country and he was a member of Greece's Euro 2004 victory in Portugal.
The deal will see Katsouranis in Australia for approximately two weeks.
"Everyone around the club is going crazy,” Heidelberg head coach George Katsakis said.
“No one can believe it eventuated.”
