Lee Holdsworth is on the hunt for stronger finishes in this weekend's Sydney Supersprint, a round the Preston Hire racer missed last season due to injury.

This will be round 9 of the 2017 Supercars Championship and despite his tough round at the Ipswich Supersprint, which saw him drop back to 13th in the driver's championship, the likeable Holdsworth is aiming to make his return to the top ten.

He will use the coming weekend to chase the speed that eluded him in Ipswich and can't wait to sink his teeth into the challenge…

“SMP (Sydney Motorsport Park) is a fun circuit, “he said. “It's fast and flowing with a few great passing zones. However, it is also a very difficult track to nail the set up given the nature of the deteriorating track surface.”

“It's another event I missed in 2016 so it throws up an extra challenge for the team this year. I'll be pushing hard to bounce back from our speed at Qld Raceway.”

The Sydney Supersprint will take place from August 18 to 20.
