New Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has held his first press-conference as manager of the famous club on Friday, revealing he will have the final word on transfers.
The German also proclaimed himself as the "Normal One", perhaps a slight dig at Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho who branded himself as the "Special One" when arriving in England.
Klopp was confirmed as the Reds' manager on Thursday, signing a three-year deal at Anfield. The new boss was asked about Liverpool's much talked about transfer committee and he is adamant he will have the first and final say on all transfers.
"We talked about it but I'm not an idiot. For me it's enough that i have the first and last word. I need the other people to get the perfect information. It's really easy to handle this". Klopp Said.
Liverpool is a club synonymous with great managers, with men like Bob Paisley, Bill Shankly and Kenny Dalglish some of the most successful in the history of the English game. But Klopp insisted he was not looking to replicate their achievements.
"I do not compare myself to the past geniuses that have been here, I'm sure that in their first press conference as manager, they didn't say they wanted to become a legend," he said.
