The Indian Test team is on the verge of breaking Australia's record nine consecutive series wins.
India defeated Sri Lanka in the second Test over the weekend to secure the series with an innings and 53 run win to record an eighth straight Test series win.
Australia is the only side that has won more Test series in a row.
Virat Kohli's men have to win just one more Test series to draw level with Ricky Ponting's side of 2005-2008. That run started with Australia's one-off Test win over the ICC World XI and ended with, ironically, India's win over the Aussies in the Border-Gavaskar trophy.
One other side has won eight consecutive series, with England achieving the feat from 1884 to 1890.
India's next Test series kicks off in November, when they host Sri Lanka at home.
The side's eight wins have come against Sri Lanka (two wins), the West Indies, South Africa, New Zealand, England, Bangladesh and Australia.
However, India face a tough ask to break the record. After their series against Sri Lanka, they face South Africa in South Africa. No Asian side has ever beaten South Africa on the road.
