The first in season Formula One test in underway in Bahrain right now and with all ten teams taking part, it is more like a mini grand prix. Lewis Hamilton will be glad it's not though as his Mercedes has already had issues in the first hour, requiring a lift back to the Mercedes garage.
Hamilton is on duty for Mercedes today with Valtteri Bottas taking over tomorrow. Hamilton will be devastated by the stoppage as he has already stated that they need to improve after losing the second of three races already contested to rivals at Ferrari.
Sebastian Vettel, who was scheduled to run tomorrow, is also on hand today along with the Maranello based squad's third driver Antonio Gioniazzi, who was last seen in action at the Chinese GP.
Dani Ric is on hand for Red Bull today with test driver Pierre Gasly taking over tomorrow. It seems like max Verstappen has opted not to participate in this two day session.
Both Force India drivers are sharing duties here today with Alfonso Celis jnr taking over tomorrow while Williams have Felipe Massa on duty for day one and Gary Paffet here tomorrow.
