Soceroos captain Mile Jedinak will remain at Crystal Palace until at least the next transfer window, after failing to complete a move to Stoke City.

The two clubs had agreed on a fee for Jedinak, however, the 31-year-old failed to agree to personal terms with Stoke before the transfer window slammed shut.

Jedinak was a hugely important part of Palace's rise into the Premier league two years ago, but has recently struggled for game time under new manager Alan Pardew due to injuries and being left out of the side.

Pardew has reportedly told Jedinak that he will will only have a peripheral role at the club this season.

The Aussie skipper will now have to wait until the January transfer window to seal a move to another club.
