LeBron James has signed an enormous life time deal with Nike that is believed to be the largest deal ever signed by a single athlete in the company's history.

Nike confirmed the deal in a statement however, no figures for the deal were released.

“We can confirm that we have agreed to a lifetime relationship with LeBron that provides significant value to our business, brand and shareholders,” Nike said.

“We have already built a strong LeBron business over the past 12 years, and we see the potential for this to continue to grow throughout his playing career and beyond.”

The deal is the first lifetime deal in Nike's history, with sources telling ESPN that it is well above the Us$300 million, 10-year deal Kevin Durant signed with Nike.

James is, according to Forbes, the sixth highest earning athlete in the world, earning US$64.8 million per year.
