Real Madrid president Florentino Perez says Los Blancos will not sign David De Gea in the January transfer window.
Madrid tried desperately to sign De Gea from Manchester United in the recent transfer window, before the deal fell through due to a failure to complete the relevant paper work by the deadline time.
But Perez is adamant the club will not make another bid for De Gea so soon.
"We will certainly not sign De Gea in January," he told Cadena COPE.
"Madrid did its job as best it could. We did not get there on time because Manchester does not have the necessary experience to tackle these things on the last day, as happened last year with Coentrao."
