Socceroos' goalkeeper Matt Ryan has put in a superb performance as his new side took a 3-1 lead after the first leg of the UEFA Champions League qualifiers against Monaco.
Ryan pulled off several brilliant saves in his first serious match for the La Liga side.
Valencia opened the scoring in just the fourth minute through Rodrigo, before Moaco rallied and equalised early in the second half.
Ryan produced his first big save just after the hour-mark, as he parried away a powerful shot from Bernardo Silva from a tight angle. He then pushed away a headed shot in a martial art like effort just minutes later.
Dani Parejo then made it 2-1 for the home side half way through the second half, before Sofiane Feghouli doubled the lead and put the match beyond doubt for Valencia.
