Melbourne Victory captain and Socceroos star Mark Milligan is poised to join cashed-up Abu Dhabi club Baniyas on a two-year deal, with an announcement imminent.

The Herald Sun has reported that Victory and Baniyas have agreed to terms, with the deal to be made official once paper work has been finalised when the UAE transfer window opens in July.

Milligan passed a medical with the club earlier this month, prior to joining his Socceroos teammates in Kyrgyzstan for the World Cup Qualifier.

The 29-year-old had been courted by Baniyas for some time, with Victory rejecting an offer from the club in 2013 and again in 2014.
