Western Sydney Wanderers coach Tony Popovic is confident his side can claim their first win of the season in the 10th Sydney Derby on Saturday night.
Popovic says the side has had solid preparation throughout the week following last week's draw with Adelaide and is sure his side can produce a better performance against Sydney FC this weekend.
"We had a very good performance in Adelaide, we gained a lot from that match in terms of our confidence and training has been really positive this week, its a game and we want three points" he said.
The Wanderers are looking for their fourth derby win over Graham Arnold's side in the first of three meetings this season.
The last time these two sides played was back in February in a thrilling seven-goal encounter in which Sydney came away with the points 4-3.
During the week Arnold made comments suggesting that the Wanderers facilities were poor and that they are trying to get to where Sydney FC is in terms of the size of the club, despite the fact the Wanderers have an Asian Champions League title to their name.
Arnold claims the Wanderers are coming to "mansion" and its up to Sydney to show who is the bigger brother.
Popovich has refused to comment, laughing off suggestions of a power struggle.
"To be honest, everyone has their own way of doing things, and if it wasn't for my staff this morning, i wouldn't have even known what he said.
"It really doesn't matter what they're doing or what he is saying, we're here to prepare for a game, and we can't wait for tomorrow.
Wanderers skipper Nikolai Topor-Stanley reiterated his coach's comments saying his side aren't buying much into what is being said.
"We're focused on our preparation for the game, we haven't had good results against them recently, so we're just focused on the win.
"Its bragging rights, and they got it over us last year, so we're desperate for a win. We need to focus on the performance instead of the talk".
