Former Australian captain Steve Waugh is the latest great to throw his support behind besieged coach Justin Langer.
Langer's position as Australian coach has been thrown into considerable doubt over the last few months despite the fact he has led Australia to their first T20 World Cup victory, and is currently holding a 3-0 advantage in the Ashes, which could well become 4-0 in Hobart over the coming 24 hours.
A deafening silence from Cricket Australia CEO Nick Hockley and captain Pat Cummins was broken at the end of Saturday's play in Hobart, with Cummins saying Langer was doing a fantastic job.
However, the questions surrounding Langer's future won't ease until a new deal is done, with his current contract due to expire in the middle of this year.
Waugh took to Instagram to slam the speculation around Langer, saying it was "Time to put the rumours and innuendo to rest."
"Position in doubt?" Questioned Waugh.
"Influenced the culture and character of the team after the Cape Town debacle. Coached the team to a winning World Cup 20/20 and now to a commanding Ashes victory. Time to put the rumours and innuendo to rest."

Waugh has joined the likes of Adam Gilchrist and Shane Warne to back Langer in continuing in the job past an upcoming away tour to Pakistan, which is believed to be the final matches currently scheduled for his contract window.
Trevor Bayliss and Andrew McDonald are the two names most commonly referred to as potential replacements, should Cricket Australia opt to go in a new direction.
