Raheem Sterling reportedly wants to leave Anfield because he does not want to play for manager Brendan Rogers.

Sterling has told Liverpool he wants out, with several big clubs circling the 20-year-old star.

English sources Sky Sports, the Guardian and the Mirror have all made the sensational claim that Sterling is happy to play for Liverpool, but not under Brendan Rogers, a notion emphatically denied by the club.

The England international failed to attend training at Melwood yesterday, but was at the training base the day before to attend a 25 minute meeting with Rogers.

It is believed that Rogers told Sterling that if he wants more money a deal could be struck, however Sterling is said to have told the manger he did not want to play for him.
