Socceroos goalkeeper Matt Ryan is off to Spain, after Club Brugge accepted an offer from Valencia for the 23-year-old.

Ryan has won the award for Belgium Pro League Goalkeeper of the Year the past two seasons, with his outstanding form attracting interest from several big clubs.

“If I pass my medical tests, I will indeed leave Club Brugge,” Ryan said in a statement on the Club's website.

“It's been a joy to be in this warm and amicable club. They have done everything they could to keep me another year which made it even harder for me to make this choice.

“I've had a wonderful time at the club but now it's time to take this next step. Last season I already declined a nice offer, but this time I couldn't. I'm very grateful that Club gave me this chance in Europe."
