Round 5 wasn't one of the more exciting rounds, but there was plenty to go through across this week's NBL weekend.

We started action on Wednesday Night with an Ignite cup double header. Tasmania Jackjumpers began the night with a 16-point victory against the Sydney Kings.

Josh Bannan led the way for the Jackjumpers with a huge double-double of 18 points and 14 rebounds. Tyger Campbell also had his best game of the season, putting in 21 points with five threes.

Brisbane Bullets then headed to Perth to face the Wildcats. Bullets secured their second win of the season with a dominant 17-point victory.

Star Casey Prather put in 34 points with 10 rebounds. Star big man Tyrell Harrison put in 27 points while also grabbing 15 rebounds.

Thursday Night, there was only one game of action with Adelaide beating South East Melbourne Phoenix.

Star Bryce Cotton was best once again with his 28-point performance, while his running mate Isaac Humphries put in his own 21 points along with 10 rebounds.

The first game on Friday Night had New Zealand take down Tasmania by 17 points to secure their second victory this season. Led by their star, Peter Jackson-Cartwright, who had 21 points.

Melbourne United played their first action of round 5 as they continued their undefeated season with a nine-point victory against the Bullets.

Star Chris Goulding had another great game after being back from injury, as he led the team in scoring with 22 points. Milton Doyle also put in his own 17 points to help lead United to victory. While Tyson Walker had a club record of eight steals.

Casey Prather and Jaylen Adams were huge for the Bullets as they combined for a total of 55 points across the game.

Another double header on Saturday Night with a historic statline from one of the greats. Adelaide defeated Cairns in a close one to kick off Saturday night hoops.

Bryce Cotton scored a historic 53 points, which happens to be the second most amount of points in a NBL game during the 40-minute era, which is only behind his record of 59. Including 20 points in the fourth, Cotton led his team to a big victory.

South East Melbourne Phoenix dominated Illawarra in the second game on Saturday night, where veteran Angus Glover hit eight threes off the bench as he poured in 26 points in 19 minutes. Nathan Sobey also scored 21 points to help them secure a win.

There were two more games of action on Sunday, with Melbourne United continuing their great season with a 16-point victory at home against the Breakers.

Chris Goulding was great again off the bench with 23 points in 18 minutes. Tyson Walker was also big time with 16 points and nine assists. Peter Jackson-Cartwright tried his best to lead his team with 20 points, nine rebounds and nine assists.

The Sydney Kings ended the round with a 22-point victory against the Perth Wildcats. Star guard Kendric Davis led the way with his 25 points and five steals. Xavier Cooks also added 16 points and eight rebounds.

Round six will kick off this Wednesday night with the Cairns Taipans hosting the Perth Wildcats for another Ignite Cup game.
