Manchester City have lost back-to-back Premier League games for the first time since April after going down to Tottenham 4-1 at White Hart Lane.

City were left fuming over an offside call that wasn't given, which lead to Eric Dier's equaliser for Spurs.

Earlier Kevin De Bruyne had given the Citizens the lead at the 25th minute mark capping off a brilliant counter attacking move.

Tottenham's equaliser changed the tempo of the game, as the home side bossed the rest of the match, with Toby Alderweireld heading home to give Spurs the lead five minutes into the second half.

Harry Kane then latched on to Christian Erkisen's wonderful free-kick to score his first goal of the season, before Erik Lamela clinched the game ten minutes from the final whistle.

The win takes Tottenham to within three points of second placed Manchester City, snapping a four game losing streak against the 2013-14 champs.

Daniel Sturridge scored his first goal since returning from injury, as Liverpool got the better of Aston Villa 3-2 at Anfield.

Sturridge scored two goals in eight minutes in the second half, holding off Villa who had threaten to spoil the home party with two thumping headers from striker Rudy Gestede getting them within touching distance.

However, the Reds held on, relieving some pressure on manager Brendan Rodgers and vice-captain James Milner who scored his first goal for the club following a run of sloppy performances in midfield.

Chelsea avoided an embarrassing defeat to a Newcastle side that is still winless after seven games as the two sides played out a 2-2 draw at St James Park.

Ayoze Perez finished the half brilliantly for Newcastle, sneaking behind Zouma and Ivanovic to give the hosts the lead.

It got worst for the Blues in the second half as Wijnaldum headed home to give his side a shock 2-0 advantage.

A rocket from Ramires with ten minutes left to play gave Chelsea a sniff, before Willian completed the comeback, his free-kick missing everyone and ending up in the back of the net to level the scores.

Newcastle move up to 19th spot, while Chelsea is incredibly only four points away from the relegation zone.
