The Socceroos take on Brazil in a two-game international friendly series over the next few days.
The first match will be played at Queensland Country Bank Stadium on Friday night, with the second match played at Suncorp Stadium on Tuesday.
The Socceroos have no shortage of exciting homegrown talents that will take to the field during these friendlies, such as Nestory Irankunda, Lucas Herrington and Alessandro Circati, all of whom have inked overseas deals with European clubs following their 2026 FIFA World Cup performances.
Brazil haven't shied away from bringing superstars over to Australia for their friendly squad, with plenty of big players named to play against the Socceroos. Here are the players to look out for.
1. Gabriel dos Santos Magalhães (Gabriel)
ARSENAL, DEFENDER - English Premier League
Arsenal defender Gabriel has travelled to Australia with the squad; however, there has been no word on whether he will start or not. The defender is considered one of the Premier League's and the world's best defenders, and he will prove a problem for Australia in their attempts to get anywhere near Brazil's goal.
At six foot three inches tall, the defender is known for his aggression and strength, a defender you would not want to come up against. With Gabriel paired up with Marquinhos, the Brazilian defence looks to be in the most capable of hands.
It is safe to say Australia will have their hands full with the calibre of this Brazilian national squad. Despite this, Australia will be eager to show they can compete on the world stage and build towards the AFC Asian Cup in January 2027.
