Throughout this NBA offseason, there has been a large amount of movement, whether it is through trades or free agency.
Free agency has already seen most of the top big names sign their contracts, but there are still some names left on the board that teams can go and pursue.
Here are the top landing spots for the best eight remaining free agents left in 2025.
1Damian Lillard - Boston Celtics
The 9 time All-Star seems the best fit to join the Boston Celtics after being waived by the Milwaukee Bucks.
Lillard, who will be recovering from an Achilles Tear, is hoping to be back before the 2026 playoffs, but it seems more likely we won't see the superstar until 2027.
Celtics star Jayson Tatum, who has won a Gold Medal with Lillard, has been actively pursuing him to join the Celtics, according to Boston Globe's Gary Washburn in a recent article.
Tatum, who is also recovering from an Achilles tear, may see this as a major opportunity to recover together.
Boston just acquired Lillard's old teammate, Anfernee Simons, which may help in recruiting him.
Boston has undergone significant changes this offseason, losing key players from its 2024 championship team. Adding superstar Damian Lillard is perfect for them to make another run at the title.
