Top landing spots for remaining NBA Free Agents

Throughout this NBA offseason, there has been a large amount of movement, whether it is through trades or free agency. Free agency has already seen most of the top big names sign their contracts, but there are still some names left on the board that teams can go and pursue. Here are the top landing spots for the best eight remaining free agents left in 2025. Damian Lillard - Boston Celtics The 9 time All-Star seems the best fit to join the Boston Celtics after being waived by the Milwaukee Bucks. Lillard, who will be recovering from an Achilles Tear, is hoping to be back before the 2026 playoffs, but it seems more likely we won't see the superstar until 2027. Chicago seems to be holding off on re-signing Giddey as they believe his value is less than what Giddey's party believes. He has proven that he deserves an opportunity, but playing in a team with Steph Curry, Jimmy Butler, and Draymond Green makes it difficult for him. According to Clutch Points' Brett Siegel, Kuminga seems likely to resign, but with the hope of being traded by the next trade deadline. Jonathan is looking for an opportunity to showcase his potential, but he may have to wait some time before showing that on a new team. Cam Thomas - Brooklyn Nets Cam Thomas' return home looks to be his best option for a new contract deal. Cam Thomas, who just averaged 24 points per game in only 25 games, is looking to sign a healthy-sized deal. Thomas value is hard to determine as he is a world-class scorer, but other areas in his game are yet to reach an elite level. There are questions about whether Cam Thomas can be a high-contribution player on a contending team. Horford can bring size, shooting and experience to an already experienced roster. Horford signing with the Warriors seems the best fit possible. Quentin Grimes - Utah Jazz Restricted free agent Grimes has a few potential landing spots, but the young Utah Jazz could be the best fit for him to thrive. Grimes, at 24, has had an up-and-down career so far, but after being traded to the 76ers, he had a breakout end of season, showcasing what he can potentially become. He thrived when the opportunity was given through injuries as he averaged 22 points per game, while having two 40-point games towards the end of the season. Utah seems to be one of the teams not contending next year, so Grimes joining the Jazz allows him to showcase more of his skills on a consistent level. Russell Westbrook - Milwaukee Bucks The 2017 NBA Most Valuable Player could be the best fit for the Bucks, especially after the Damian Lillard departure. Milwaukee is in desperate need of more depth at the point guard position. With the current available guards and Milwaukee's salary cap situation, Westbrook seems like the right option for them.
