United States Florence Griffith-Joyner holds the fastest time run by a female over the 200-metre sprint.

Jamaica and United States athletes make up all of the top 10 times, with Shericka Jackson having five of the fastest times and edging close to Florence Griffith-Joyner's world record set in 1988.
