Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon is reportedly desperate to join Everton on deadline day.

Lennon has been left out of Mauricio Pochettino's squad for the first two games this season and does not look to be part of the manager's plans going forward.

The Daily Express has reported that Lennon, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Everton last season, is very keen to get a last minute deal done in order to play regular first team football.

However, Everton boss Roberto Martinez has so far refused to meet the £9 million demands for Lennon, but Spurs may lower the fee in order to finalise the deal before the transfer window closes on Tuesday night.
