Socceroo James Troisi says the A-League is an option as he continues his search for first team football in 2015-16.

Troisi is currently owned by Juventus, however he has never played for the Italian giants as he has been loaned out to Melbourne Victory and Zulte Waregem since joining Juve.

However, having yet to secure a club for this season, he may return home to Australia, where he enjoyed a a brilliant season for Melbourne Victory in 2013-14.

"I'm open (to a move) but whether it's Europe, Asia, the Middle East or the A-League, it has to be the right move," he told News Corp .

"I'm not 21 anymore, I'm 27 and I've been travelling quite a bit so I'm looking for a bit more security. If it's the A-League though then I would be prepared to accept something more short-term.

"It's only a few weeks before the transfer window closes so if nothing happens then I may have to go to Juve."
