Shane van Gisbergen made it a perfect win with his second victory around the streets of Adelaide this afternoon. Securing his 21st career win with just four laps remaining by putting the all-important move on Scott McLaughlin's DJR Team Penske Ford, which had been leading for the latter half of the race. However, at turn nine where he locked the rear wheels and gifted van Gisbergen the lead.

From then on there was no stopping him crossed the line victorious!

Two poles, two wins, a perfect, ‘awesome' weekend….

“Man what a feeling. An awesome weekend. That race was really tough, but so much fun! What an awesome weekend, 300 points, what a fantastic way to start the championship.”

“I threw it away. Shane was fantastic, his car was very fast,” said a very disappointed second placed Scott McLaughlin, who was furious with himself for not being able to hold the lead for the final few laps. "I'm feeling really confident, but I'm just gutted – you lead a whole race and then you lose it."

Chaz Mostert finished third for Prodrive Racing ahead of James Courtney, who is under investigation for a coming together with Simona de Silvestro, Fabian Coulthard, Jamie Whincup, Tim Slade, Cameron Waters, Todd Kelly and Craig Lowndes.

"So stoked with getting a podium today, I just can't believe it!" Chaz said. "We still have a lot of work to do but I'm up for the challenge!"
