Mark Webber should finally get the world championship he has always craved in Bahrain this weekend.

The Porsche sports car spearhead never quite made it in Formula One, falling at the final hurdle in Abu Dhabi in 2010 when Sebastian Vettel took the first of his four championships with Red Bull, but is in the box seat this weekend with a points break, a top-class back-up crew, and a Porsche 919 that's the sharpest knife in the fight.

Webber is 12-points ahead of the best of his rivals, the lead Audi team, and is already thinking about how it will feel to be a world champion on Sunday night.

“It will mean a lot to seal the deal. For me, it will be a big highlight in my career,” Webber reveals exclusively to News Limited.
