While stats aren't everything, numbers don't lie. We've compiled a list of every major stat winner of every season in NBA history, dating back to the 1949/50 season.

Without steals and blocks being recorded before 1974, past legends like Oscar Robertson, Bob Cousy and Bill Russell are undermined on the stat-title leaderboard, as is Wilt Chamberlain, who clears the field anyway with five more titles than the next best.

Michael Jordan's second-place ranking on the list with 13 titles can be used by GOAT-debate partakers as part of his case, especially given his top competitor LeBron James' tally of two.

Some players are helped by their dynamic ability to excel in multiple areas of the game at a league-best level. Chris Paul and John Stockton are the only two other double-digit members on the leaderboard thanks to their combined passing prowess and quick hand defence.

Some notable absentees may shock some people, the following list features players without a single statistical title in their NBA career.

  • Tim Duncan
  • Larry Bird
  • Julius Erving
  • Giannis Antetokounmpo
  • Karl Malone
  • Elgin Baylor
  • Dirk Nowitzki
  • Patrick Ewing

Of course, there's plenty of time for Giannis to begin his tally, while Luke Doncic looks set to start this season with a near 35ppg average so far in 2023/24.

Just 18 names have managed a tally of 5 or more titles through their careers, with ageing stars Chris Paul, James Harden and Russell Westbrook the only ones among todays crop of players included on the leaderboard.

We can probably expect Doncic and Victor Wembanyama to be the two names that feature the most on the list over the next decade, while young stars like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Chet Holmgren thrive with their dynamic presence on both sides of the court.
