Will Pucovski has added to his credentials for a Test-match recall after posting a huge century for Victoria's second XI on Wednesday.
Pucovski reached 193 not out from 405 balls faced before retiring at tea on day three of the match in Coffs Harbour.
His innings included 19 fours and one six, and lasted 682 minutes - more than 11 hours - as Victoria approached 400 for the loss of just one wicket.
That's enough for Will. Pucovski has retired on 193 from 405 balls in the Second XI 👏

Pucovski suffered a brief moment of malaise after being struck in the box on 159, but was able to recover in the subsequent drinks break.
The 24 year-old is viewed as a generational red-ball talent, so far owning an impressive Sheffield Shield average of 51.63, but has had several concussions and mental battles that have so far derailed his international career and seen him play just the solitary Test match in January 2021 (in which he scored 72 runs).
It must be a good feeling at 24 years of age to happily retire on 193 not out because he’s been to 200 plenty of times already. Such a great sign for the season ahead to see Will Pucovski get runs so early in the season.

Pucovski's big start to the pre-season has kicked off his bid to return to the Test side this summer, after not being included in the recently concluded Test series in Sri Lanka.
He was part of a group of eight players who took part in a 10-day training camp in Chennai, indicating that he remains integral to Australia's Test plans.
