Adelaide and Perth's A-League clash will now kick off at 7pm due to 40 degree temperatures in Adelaide on Sunday.

The match was due to kick off at 4.30pm, but has now been pushed back after the FFA took into consideration the extreme conditions the players will be faced with on the weekend.

The FFA has also rescheduled the W-League clash between Adelaide and Perth, which will now kick off at 4pm, instead of 1.30pm.

“In line with the Heat Policy, FFA has been proactively monitoring the Sunday weather forecast for Adelaide as early as Monday and has been in constant contact with both clubs, broadcasters, Coopers Stadium and the PFA,” Head of the A-League Damien de Bohun said.

“With the forecast WBGT due to be above the regulated threshold for the duration of the scheduled Westfield W-League match we have decided to move both games back two and a half hours to allow both matches to be played under safe conditions that fall within the parameters of the Heat Policy.

“FFA will continue to monitor the situation, keep relevant stakeholders updated and will consider the need for drinks breaks or further deferment of the matches on Sunday.”
