Australian striker Adam Taggart has joined Perth Glory after an 18-month stint with English club Fulham.

It marks a return to his first senior club, where he made 10 appearances and scored one goal before joining the Newcastle Jets in 2012.

Fulham signed Taggart in 2014, but the Aussie was loaned out to Dundee United in September last year, where he made seven appearances.

Taggart joins the Glory for the next two seasons.

Fulham released a short statement on Tuesday confirming the transfer.

"The Club can confirm that Adam Taggart has joined Perth Glory on a permanent deal," the statement read.

"It marks a return to his home city and first senior club for Taggart, as he spent two years with the Glory prior to joining Newcastle Jets in 2012.

"Everyone at Fulham would like to thank Adam for his efforts during his time at the club and wish him the best of luck throughout his career."
